lyricist. songbird with poetic license. A writer’s

favorite song.

I’m the child of performance poets, published writers, and artivists. My love for language was inked into my veins–hereditary, even. Before there was gospel choir, classical chorale training, or even copy – there were poems, songs, and a stage. It was the mic that cocooned itself into a vessel. My truth tucked around my tongue, ready for flight.

Grab a seat, a warm drink, and your eyes. Read how I tricked rhythm into dancing with words just so I could sing you these lyrics.

P.S. I am the owner, songwriter, and performer of all my lyrics and songs.

CHORUS 1

Sometimes I wanna pick up the phone to call ya / But I know you met somebody new / Even all the things we’ve been through / I would still choose you / First lovers, now strangers / I don’t know what to do / Pick up the phone and call me / There’s love from the start / So, I…

VERSE 1

Sippin’ on this liquor / ‘Til I feel something inside / The world is burnin’ / And there’s nowhere to hide / Grown so numb / I don’t even feel… / When I see the videos and pictures / I just scroll and scroll, oh scroll
